Monika Kerber - Executive Director

Monika is the president of Villa Chardonnay, Horses with Wings.  She is a long time horse and animal lover and has been riding English for the past 25 years.  Monika saved her first horse about 20 years ago when she rescued a thoroughbred horse from the slaughter.

Professionally Monika has a B.A. Degree in Marketing and Graphic Design background with an MBA emphasizing in Marketing.   She is also an entrepreneur who has owned several successful businesses including a small chain of restaurants and a French Bistro.

Melajim won his last thoroughbred race when he was 3 years old, he was won in a purse by a wealthy horse racer, but they did not care for him, as they had many other much more expensive horses.  Monika learned of Melajim from her veterinarian.  He told her that they were going to send him to the slaughter, but she stepped in just in time to rescue him.  He had a diseased with in his tendons, when she first got him he needed daily shots.  Monika contacted the owners and saved her first fur baby.  She nursed him back to health.  She continued on, by riding him, competing and winning many ribbons in horse show jumping.

Monika has been loving horses and all animals her whole life and is a firm supporter of ASPC and PETA among others. Monika has dreamed of making a home for horses, saving them and most important, just giving them love.  Her heart is so big that there is always room for more horses. She is finally in a position where she can make her dream of having a horse rescue come true! To email Monika click here

Louise Gardner - CFO 

Louise is the Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of Villa Chardonnay.  Louise has also been riding since she was young and has always had a love for animals and horses.  The first horse she owned didn’t come until later in life.

Louise has a nurturing nature and wants to take care of all the fur babies; horses, dogs, goats and any four legged creature.

Professionally Louise has an Engineering Degree and works in Marketing and Engineering. She also has a successful entrepreneurial background and successfully ran the French Bistro with Monika.To email Louise click here
