Villa Chardonnay is now one of the largest horse rescue and sanctuaries in California with 44 horses. As the number of our residents continually rises and alfalfa prices have doubled in the past 12 months the costs to run Villa Chardonnay sanctuary have increased dramatically. 100% of all donations go directly to the horses for their care, food, medical needs and more.

Many costs are not included here such as taxes, mortgage, repairs (which are enormous with horses!), accepting new horses and most of all:
We have built 3 shelters this winter with our own funding, but the largest shelt is still to be built. The cost is about $1500 for a basic roof shelter. WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT! The rainy season is here. We truly need your help to continue. Small or large- Please donate today! The El Nino rains have been harsh this year- please help us complete our final shelter before winter.
This comes to over $10,000 per month just to maintain the current horses that we have; this number is growing since we just added 5 new horses. We can no longer afford to keep up with this pace and we need to ask for your generous assistance.
That is why we have incorporated as a non-for profit company in the hope to continue to bring the dreams alive for the beautiful horses as Villa Chardonnay.
