Make an appt. at Villa Chardonnay to see if your horse is a fit. Villa has a one-time surrender fee of $3000-$5000
The surrender fee is requested to help provide 24-hour special care and medical needs for the remainder of their lives. Horses are fed 3x a day or their proper diet that he/she may require such as supplements. The vet comes weekly and more as needed. Farrier comes once a week. Dental care is provided as well. Food and Board are approximately 600 a month which doesn’t include the vet, farrier, dental or medications needed. The surrender fee will help offset the future cost of care of 8 months. Most horses surrendered here have been here for years. Once an animal is surrendered, it is the sole property of Villa Chardonnay Horses with Wings, Inc for the entirety of its life making Villa the responsible guardian regarding the medical needs of the animal’s well being.

Animal Shelters sometimes euthanize animals but not always, they are generally a lot smaller than a sanctuary and are not able to keep animals forever. An Animal rescue will adopt, rehabilitate and adopt out for a fee. Animal Sanctuaries often have disabled pets, pets with FIV/Feline Leukaemia, animals with neurological problems and really old animals that would otherwise be euthanized in an animal shelter. The animals go to sanctuaries to live out the rest of their lives. Sanctuaries normally have mainly “unadoptable” animals, like animals that were abused and might bite you, untrainable, etc.
