Meet Tina, a 14 year-old mare who comes from the state of Oregon. Tina was at a rescue that had to close its doors and she was one of the last ones to find her forever home here at Villa. With every new horse that comes along, we have to think where she would best fit in trying to find her a friend sometimes moving her around till she feels comfortable. Sometimes it may take a few days. Tina was placed in a large area with 2 geldings right next to the donkeys and we noticed she was with the donkeys. Thinking that maybe she slipped in when the gate was opened to the donkeys she was placed back with the 2 geldings. The next day Tina was there once again, she had climbed the rocks and cross over again! If Tina chose to be with the donkeys, we would try and see how they got along. Tina is now a member of the herd. Tina may have identity issues but if she feels like she is part of the herd then so be it, as long as she is happy, which indeed she is.
